Walaupun tahun ini adalah ketiga kalinya VILTA diundang untuk mengatur acara ini tetapi pertama kalinya acara ini diadakan secara daring.
Even though this was the third year that VILTA was invited to organise this event, but this was the first time we held MUNC online.
Bapak Konsul Jendral untuk Victoria & Tasmania yang baru, Kuncoro Waseso, membuka acara simulasi ini, diikuti oleh pembicara tamu, Ibu Lily Yulianti. Diskusi dan debat ini dipimpin oleh sekretaris jendral, Ibu Yacinta Kurniasih.
The new Indonesian consul-general for Victoria & Tasmania, Mr Kuncoro Waseso, opened the event, followed by the guest speaker Ms Lily Yulianti. The discussion was led by the secretary-general, Ms Yacinta Kurniasih.
Tema kali ini adalah “Mengubah Masa Depan: Pendidikan Berkualitas untuk Semua Anak”.
This year’s theme was “Rewrite the Future: Quality Education for All”
Kerja keras para siswa untuk menyiapkan diri terlihat jelas dalam diskusi, khususnya ketika mereka harus mempertahankan pendapat negara yang mereka wakili, mendukung pendapat negara lain atau mengajukan pendapat yang tidak merugikan negara-negara yang sedang berkembang. Pada umumnya bahasa mereka jelas dan cukup mudah dimengerti. Usaha yang bukan main hebatnya!
The evidence of students’ hard work in preparing themselves for this event was seen clearly especially when they had to defend the opinion of the country they represented when they supported other country’s opinion or put forward theirs as well as making sure their stand did not disadvantage other developing countries. In general, the students’ language was clear and easy to understand. What a great effort!
Enam sekolah hadir dengan 62 siswa dari sekolah pemerintah dan swasta yang mewakili 21 negara anggota PBB. Terima kasih kepada para guru dari sekolah-sekolah berikut yang sudah mengajak siswa-siswa kelas 12 mereka serta membantu mereka dalam persiapannya untuk ambil bagian dalam acara ini; Warrnambool College, Melbourne High School, Victorian School of Languages, Williamstown HS, Marian College and Overnewton College.
Six schools from government and non-government with 62 students represented 21 UN member-countries. Thank you for those teachers who have encouraged their students and helped them in the preparation; Warrnambool College, Melbourne High School, Victorian School of Languages, Williamstown HS, Marian College and Overnewton College.
