​VILTA membership allows you to keep up with what is happening with the Indonesian language teaching and learning in Victoria.
Memberships are valid for the school year, from 1 February to 31 January the following year.

VILTA membership allows you to keep up with what is happening with the Indonesian language teaching and learning in Victoria. By maintaining your membership you help VILTA to:

Operate and support professional development programs and immersion days for teachers

Run an Annual Conference in Melbourne for networking and professional development

Disburse an annual professional development grant from the Victorian Government to Indonesian teachers

Work with the Indonesian Consulate and Embassy to implement the Independence Day Scholarships to Canberra

Work with Melbourne University to run the state-wide Sayembara Lisan speaking competition, both in metropolitan and regional areas

Run the VCE Oral Exam Practice day in Melbourne

Run regular Festival Bahasa dan Budaya Indonesia events for students around the state

Run immersion day programs for students

Maintain an informational email list, or Berita-E, for teachers of Indonesian

Produce an electronic newsletter, Suara VILTA

Lobby government to improve funding support for languages

Contribute to the collegiality of teachers of Indonesian across the state
